Therein lies the problem, at least for me.
I was logged in to MY account and was adding sites/pages from sites I own or control to my own ring.
After adding these sites, I did not get any e-mail notifying me that I had added a site, and they did not show up in the pending sites cue at all. If they had shown up there, I could have accepted them into the ring, then obtained or otherwise generated code with a site number.
So there appears to be a step missing when one adds a site of their own to their own ring(s).
Interestingly enough, a site applied the same day that was not mine, showed up in the pending sites area, and I was able to accept that site. I also got an e-mail notifying me the site had applied and was pending.
So we may have a missing step when someone adds sites to their own rings.
The 4 sites I added are sitting there. Can you administratively do somthing or do I need to remove them and wait till this is cleared up.
Thanks much.

That's mighty odd....when I tried this I get them in my queue right away. Let us look into this. Can you PM me the sites that you added? I'll figure out what's going on and straighten it out.

It should be exactly the same, whether it's your own ring or not or whether you own the sites or not. We'll look into this and clear it up.
1) Are you sure you got a message indicating that the site had successfully applied? 2) Please check your email address to make sure notifications are going to the right place.

Where are they sitting? I mean, do you see them waiting somewhere, or...? Send me the sites in a PM (or here) and I'll make sure they get added. Also, send me the name and number of the ring they were to be added to.
One more possibility....when you "Register" a new site, that only adds it to the list of sites that you own. It doesn't add it to any rings by default. Could this be what's happening?

OK - Had a "light bulb" moment after reading your reply.
I "registered" the sites only.
Now, I have logged in under my account, and then went to the Ring Hub/Index page and used the JOIN THIS RING link. This then gave me a drop down menu to select the already-linked and the newly registered sites and select from that list to relate them to the ring and in turn get nav bar code.
Once I used the JOIN THIS RING link and did this, they popped up in my PENDING SITES listing. I haven't checked yet but I presume these have now had an e-mail message sent to me as the site holder and ring manager about the pending sites.
Now I can add in th enav bar code and add these into the ring.
I somehow misunderstood this step.
It seemed to me (an assumption) that after registering a site, that the next screen should give me a list of rings to choose from to perform the act of linking them to a ring, then generating the nav bar. I can see however where this may not be desirable if you had a web site but were adding it to a ring you do not own.
OK, the coffee is kicking in and I think I'm all set now.
Thanks.

Ahhhh, good. I knew it had to be something like that. We tested and tested and tested and couldn't find anything wrong, lol. This will all be explained more carefully in the FAQs, which I hope we'll have time to start on soon.

And not an April fools post... :-)
If a ring site elects to use the ring logo, should that section of code have a closing anchor tag?
A table cell is opened (TD), there is an "A HREF" address, followed by the image (IMG SRC...), then the cell closes with a (/TD).
Should there be an closing tag (/A) between the IMG SRC and the cell closing tag?
I ask because one of my validators picks it up - another one doesn't.
I put a closing tag in there and all seems well.
The system generated code doesn't have it.
