Suggestion of Cross-over subcatagories for directory drilldown

Greetings All,

 

I have just joined with 3 rings and noticed in the forum posts the ongoing testing and the suggestions for new catagories (with the concern of not overdoing the catagories). I did not see where it was suggested and it may have -- in case it was not, perhaps you might consider desigining the directory with cross-over catagories that allow the user to drill down the directory and find, say 'mythology and folklore' (as was discussed) under more than one directory tree drill-down instead of hard slotting it under a single entry. I do not know if the current design will allow for it. As well, you might consider a hot link site map in directory tree format so that one can scroll down a single page without having to drill down through multiple pages. If all of this was addressed, please forgive me as I have only been here for a few hours.

I agree that it would be a good idea. If it's possible and not too hard of course.

Hmmm, interesting (and good) suggestion. I'll ask the coder who's doing this if this is possible without a huge code rewrite. If it's something we can do with a modest amount of coding, we'll do it. Otherwise it'll probably happen in version 2.  I like the idea.
