Global Checker Not Working

It's been a while since I have posted, indeed a while since anyone posted here?
 
Anyway... the global nav bar code checker is not working.
 
Per past posts, it should be running at least monthly, however a manual check of 54 sites in my ring today that I sat there and manually checked one at a time found 5 dead sites that I had to remove from the ring.  On checking, several of them simply left the web - confirmed by e-mail - and that some time back.
 
Two more still have missing nav bars and I have e-mailed those people to determine if they plan on staying with my ring and will revisit these sites in a week's time.
 
At last check a global checker for ring holders that would check all sites on a given ring on demand was being looked into so we'd not have to click through each site individually.  Is that project still happening?
 
My greater concern now is that the monthly checker is not reporting to me and I am forced to manually run a check on each site.
 
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has received a report from the monthly checker at any time to determine if it is working or if the problem is on my end.  I have white-listed webringo.com in my mail service filters and I do get notifications that new site membership applications are pending, so mail is getting through from here as far as I can tell.

It's set to run on the 15th of each month, and as far as I know (and can tell) it is still running and issuing reports. I get reports each time for several of the test sites in our test ring. I'm running it again right now manually to see if it's all working and so far it's doing what it should be doing.

Update:  1-Sept-2008
 
Just a note that the Global checker is not working for my ring (Ring 393).
 
I just ran a manual check of all 51 sites in my ring and 2 sites that were reporting bad at the beginning of the month of August are still failing.  (I'm giving them one more shot.)  In both instances the ring navigation bar was removed from the member sites.  When I run the manual checker it is reporting the sites as bad, so th echecker is working manually when run.
 
In any event there was no report sent to me for any ring failures based on the stated schedule.  As far as I know, the distributions from the checker if being sent, are not being interdicted by any spam filters on my end.  When ever someone requests to join the ring or makes a change to their site listing, I get those messages fine.  I also have the domain "webringo.com" white listed on my end.
 
You might want to look into this.
 
I'd be interested in hearing of anyone else at webringo is getting any error messages sent from the checker.
 
In retrospect, I think it may be beneficial if the checker sends a message even if it finds no errors so we know it is running.

Update:  09/15/2008 at 8:44 am EDT

Thanks much!  Global checker appears to have run overnight and reported dead sites in my ring.

It reported 3 sites.  Two I knew were bad and were pending action anyway.  Those were addressed.

It also reported one of my own sites as problematic but on manual check all was well so I suspect that was a no-reach error.   In fact while it reported "Error" the rest of the line was blank with no specific error details.

In any event this is the first global checker report received and it was most welcome.
