Style Sheet problems with the navbars ( iFrame, Java and HTML)
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:48:36 PM »
Please visit this site, http://irish-world.web-ring.info/ and there is Navbars for WebRingo, Web-Ring
and WebRing.  Note that everything seems to be fine. Then more on the top of the top there is
a Google Translator and please select a Language, like IRISH and what you will SEE is the Web-Ring
and WebRing navbars are working, WebRingo 's navbars are not.

Are you using static HTML or putting the bar on the page with the dynamic code?

It is a HTML page and rename PHP because of the PHP is got the RingMaker ...

It make sure there is no other problem here is a test page in HTML only and nothing but
WebRingo, Web-Ring and Web-Ring navbars in Java only... and no PHP

http://irish-world.web-ring.info/Navbar-Test/

P.S. Please email me when you are done looking at the page as I have put IN a defaut navbar
from the WebRing and I have a custom navbar I would like to put it back as soon as possible...

Thank You!

ALL navbars are Java WebRing, Web-Ring and WebRing. in straight HTML with no Doctype ...
http://irish-world.web-ring.info/Navbar-Test/

I just updated and added a WebRingo HTML Navbar and it's also displaying the same problem.

Width I guess is fixed ...

I think the problem is the width; when you move to some of the unicode languages (like Russian) the characters take up more room horizontally. I think that's causing some of the elements to wrap. You could try increasing the width of the navbar, maybe try 500px as a test and see if that makes any difference.

I DID change the with to 500 pixels, that didn't fix the problem, it made it worse.  Since I made the custom navbar that works well and I can produce custom navbars for hire.  Please me to design the HTML navbar ...  IF YOU can SEE http://irish-world.web-ring.info/Navbar-Test/ in I.E. 9 you may / may not  SEE that there IS a 2 Pixels border around the image on the left in the HTML navbar ...

Checking IN ... about the navbar issue ...

OK ... I made a test navbar and a took off all the junk so we are comparing navbars with other
web ring navbars ... http://irish-world.web-ring.info/Navbar-Test/

All I can do is make each and every navbar by hand?  Just like the ONE navbar that is working well
and all browsers and Doctypes too!

See http://webringo.web-ring.info/Accordion-USA-Worldwide/  and use the Google Translator
and SEE that  All of the work I have done with ALL of the Rings in WebRingo ALL have the
same problem ...

I don't want to give up over this issue.  Can you please try to copy the navbar that is working,
look into it and see if you can modify a navbar that can work?

That means about 198 navbars to be replaced so far? ...

My navbars are working, http://accordion-worldwide.web-ring.info/AUSAW/

Just a thought??  Please hear me out?  I don't believe there are too much iFrame navbars at all?
And you know that I "need" the custom navbar ... where the WebRingo link is under the icon and
I need a SPACE  for me to put the URL IN for the Members page ...

The example is IN http://irish-world.web-ring.info/Navbar-Test/  IF you would make the example
for the iFrame? Then the navbar will NOT change when the Translator is used!!

And I am fine with that ?

And the issue about I have been using the two part iFrame is legal ... I am using Facebook and
I am the owner of the Group?  And it is a Permanent Link ...

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Accordionists-Web-Ring-International/225655904147448

I have two major groups that are IN Facebook, but you can't SEE the Groups until you join Facebook
and then the Group and as stated, I am the owner ...

I think this might require a rewrite of some of the code. I'm not sure when that would/will happen.

I think this might require a rewrite of some of the code. I'm not sure when that would/will happen.

My Son is a PHP Programmer and has modified the RingMaker to the NMS RingMaster System and there is now three choices for navbars, http://web-ring.info/email/NMS/default-navbar.htm

You can try Russian and you can see that there is nothing wrong...

There as been major changes because of this problem.  ALL of TT's RingMakers that were
a sub folder of http://webringo.web-ring.info/  have been removed and relocated with redirects ...

And she is joining www.web-ring.info as this email is being written...

Zeline is down to 10 Rings left ... as of this moment ...

I have become a Partner with the W/R ... http://web-ring.webring.com/  and I am opening
the doors for Joining all the Rings.

I'm not going to use the RingMakers for WebRingo navbars, instead I will put the WebRingo navbars
in all my Rings and since my surfers are around the world and I can prove that issue ...
http://s08.flagcounter.com/gmap/0m2/

Then since you can't fix it then the whole world will SEE WebRingo's navbars, failing...

They do not work a Google Transator, Yahoo and Bing either ...

The best I know of the iFrame can be modified,  PLEASE because I have already put IN 198 sites
and the navbars are not working well ...

And if you can modify the iFrame I need the space so I can get the URL's IN  by using spacing
plus I have a server and I can incuding ...

Then I can start working again? ...
