Any progress?  I'm having the same problem with browsers blocking mixed protocols.

So I can't add sites that don't have a WebRingo account connected to them?

Well....that's kind of the whole point of a webring. That's how they work.

Basically, you go to their ring and ask or invite them to join. You can find a full walk-through on doing this here:

Hi all, sorry for the dumb question but I'm new to this. I've created my ringhere on WebRingo and added my own site, but how do I add other people's? Do they need to have a WebRingo account, or is there a simpler way? I have a couple of people who've been waiting to join once I figure out what I'm doing, but I don't think strangers would bother creating an account to join.

Please tell me there is currently a way to change my Ring's image?  I can't seem to find it on the manage ring page?

A webring is a group of sites which share a common interest and have a forward and back links to each other's sites via a footer or side panel.

This webring is about bloggers who are creating their own video games.

Some reasons why you might want a site or blog... https://indieweb.org/why

It's open to everyone making video games and writing a blog (http only, https currently not supported).
The WebRing NavBar (next, back, etc) must appear on all pages of the blog.

Signing up to webringo and submitting your site is not mandatory, but the benefit is that you can custom create your banner (colours and sizes). If you don't want to sign up to webringo, contact me ( mike (*a*t*) mgarcia.org ) with these details, and I'll add you:

Name- How ever you like to name your site, up to 50 characters.
URL- The ring code must be placed on this page to validate.
Title- A short, descriptive blurb about the site, up to 80 characters.
Description- Up to 2000 characters. Extra characters will be discarded.
Keywords- Words separated by spaces, up to 250 characters. Extra characters will be discarded.
Orientation- Horizontal or Vertical.
Type- Code in JavaScript, iframe or static HTML (http://webringo.com/forum/index.php?action=kb;area=article;cont=20).

Anyway, leave any thoughts below.

Let me see if we can get that going. There's a lot of stuff on our plates right now but we'll try and implement it either that way or maybe through Cloudflare.

There's a company (linux fundation) that does free https certs.
